City Café Ltd requires a Head Chef with a minimum of five (5) years experience to manage the kitchen. Applicants must have full knowledge and experience in Mediterranean and International Cuisine, including Pasta, Pizza and all aspects of Catering. Must be able to train and motivate staff, develop menus, manage overall food costs for business, all running of the kitchen, manage our catering clients and ensure sanitation of work environment. Responsible for running the business in absence of the owners. Must be able to maintain highest standard of food preparation and presentation. Computer skills are required. City Café Ltd also requires a Chef. Applicants must have knowledge and experience in Mediterranean Cuisine (including pasta, pizza), catering menus and Asian menus. Duties will include cooking meals for daily specials & catering, set up and pricing, assisting with caterings, as well as maintaining control of stock and food costs. A proven track record of honesty and dependability is necessary and at least five (5) years minimum experience is required. Truck license an asset.

Requirements

Applicants for all positions must be team players, work on own initiative and cope with a fast-paced, demanding business. Successful candidates would be required to work 6 days per week from 6am - 6pm and Sundays and Public Holidays as required. A proven track record of honesty and dependability is necessary. A minimum of two (2) written employment references and resume must be submitted with application. We are a drug free work place. All successful candidates will be required to do pre-employment substance-abuse screening.
