The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS), a premier marine research and education institute and a unit of Arizona State University (ASU), is seeking an experienced and motivated General Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the Housing and Catering Manager. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean guest rooms & bathrooms, make-up beds. Clean common areas including hallways, lounge, porches, lecture rooms and laboratories. Assist the Kitchen Porter during busy periods and cover this position during vacation/sick leave. Kitchen Porter duties include washing dishes, pots & pans, cleaning surfaces and appliances, sweeping & mopping floors, taking out trash. Any other cleaning duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

Proven proficiency in maintaining only the highest standards of cleanliness. Self-motivated, with the ability to work alone or within a team with energy and enthusiasm. Must be physically fit as the job involves lifting and heavy-duty cleaning. Must be available to work occasional split shifts, evenings and weekends.
