Summary: Responsible for planning and executing new elevator installations, modernizations, repairs, and service work that exceeds customer expectations and utilizes resources efficiently, all while delivering safe and reliable equipment. Primary Responsibilities: Survey, plan, coordinate all assignments independently and collaboratively. Assemble or repair all types of elevators and similar transport equipment according to manufacturer specifications, drawings, and instruction manuals. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair TK, Otis, and other major brands. Meet regularly with other project personnel to ensure well-coordinated works including but not limited to site mobilization, material staging, related trades, inspections, clean-up, customer orientation and handover. Coordinate and conduct audits, pre-inspections, acceptance and annual safety tests and inspections, and submit reports as needed. Source and procure parts and materials within set quantity or cost limits. Assist in estimating and preparation of quotes and bids, including in-depth review of specifications and conformance requirements. Resolve on-site issues proactively and respond to emergencies diligently. Orientate owners on product use, safety, and housekeeping. Attend in-person and virtual meetings as required. Regularly train local field personnel on health & safety initiatives, diagnostics programs, maintenance best practices, and software program use. Qualifications / Competencies: At least 5 years' successful field experience in elevator industry in similar role. In-depth knowledge of ASME 17.1 Elevator Code and general understanding of related NEC, OSHA, BOCA, and NFP safety Codes. Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and prioritize work. Available during weekends and public holidays as work demands. Ability to read and interpret building plans, install drawings and schematics. Proficient use of Windows operating system, Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to learn and become proficient in IMS, diagnostic programs, SME and other tools essential to managing time, completing tasks and controlling expenses. Self-motivated and well organized. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to travel overseas for training or work assignments. CET-S or QEI designation an asset.
