Delivery high-quality instruction in the areas of accounting and financial management. A qualified accountant and a member in good standing with CPA Bermuda, or equivalent. Additionally, a master's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline would be preferred. Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and theories to provide high-quality instruction. Delivery high-quality instruction in the areas of insurance, risk management, and financial topics. A master's degree in insurance, risk, finance, actuarial science or a related discipline. A bachelor's degree in business related fields accompanied by a professional qualification(s) such as an CPCU, ARE, AIS, ARM, with relevant professional experience will also be considered. Knowledge of insurance and risk principles, practices and theories. Prepare course materials such as syllabi, lesson plans and instructional materials for their classes, conduct lectures, and facilitate discussions. Assess student progress by developing, assigning and evaluating assessments and providing constructive feedback to foster academic growth. Provide academic advice to students on course selection, career paths, further educational opportunities and scholarships. Collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary learning opportunities and initiatives. Implement teaching methodologies that assist both traditional students and the adult learner. Utilize available Learning Management Systems to support course delivery. Contribute to curriculum development and participate in faculty meetings and committees. Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current in trends in higher education. Experience in teaching at the college level, with a strong background in course development would be preferred. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teaching. Strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.
