Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will be responsible for managing the claims process for all Property and Casualty claims, including motor, property, personal property loss, travel, and business policies. Responsibilities include interviewing clients, recording relevant information, liaising with repairers, and overseeing claim settlements. You may also be assigned project work and other duties within the Company and across the Coralisle Group as required. Ensure all claims are processed promptly, maintaining clear communication with all relevant parties Interview claimants and third parties to determine claim facts, liability, and inspect damaged vehicles or properties as needed Consult with the Claims Engineer to review reports and obtain additional informationas required Review estimates and approves settlements within authorised limits; negotiate with claimants when required Liaise with repairers to confirm their ability to adequately repair the vehicle or property, availability of parts, and whether client deductible has been met Maintain an effective follow-up system to ensure all claims are resolved Bring any non-routine matters to the attention of the Claims Manager Review all files that are open after a 30-day period with a view to bringing closure at the earliest opportunity Maintain files (both hard copies and electronic folders), records, and account systems that are used in the Claims Department including the P&C computer systems Assist with inspecting damaged vehicles or properties, taking photographs as required Any other duties that are necessary to finalise claims and/or assigned by the Claims Manager or General Manager

Requirements

Diploma in insurance or equivalent qualification preferred A minimum of 3 years' experience handling and negotiating settlement of Personal Lines claims preferred Strong administration and organisational skills Good communication, including verbal, written, negotiating and presentation skills Competency in the use and application of standard Microsoft and email software applications to intermediate level is required
