Radiographer/mammography Technologist

At Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre (BCHC), we are seeking a dedicated Radiographer/ Mammography Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. This position involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography and bone density scans, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires close collaboration with radiologists and healthcare professionals to provide accurate imaging that supports timely, patient centred care. Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality mammography and bone density scans, ensuring patient safety. Assess patients, take clinical histories, and support radiologists in determining imaging needs. Accurately record patient information and imaging data, maintain confidentiality and data protection standards. Prepare equipment and assist radiologist during image-guided biopsy procedures. Provide reassurance and compassionate care to patients throughout their visit. Contribute to quality control programs and report any equipment issues promptly. Follow all health, safety and radiation protection standards, to safeguard patients, colleagues and self. Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver coordinated, safe, patient-centred care. Support the smooth operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Department as required. Attend various meetings as required. Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma in Radiologic Technology. Three (3) years' relevant experience. Valid professional registration/licensure. Proficient in operating digital and 3D mammography equipment. Must be able to work rotational Saturday shifts. Strong knowledge of positioning techniques and radiation safety principles. Able to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Strong technical acumen and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Professional, able to work effectively with diverse patients and colleagues. Exceptional organisation and time management skills. Able to handle confidential information with discretion. Detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
