The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Corporate Services, plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive corporate governance and compliance services to a portfolio of companies, primarily reinsurance and fund entities based in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and client relationship management. The AVP, Corporate Services, is responsible for providing comprehensive corporate governance and compliance services to a portfolio of companies, including acting as Company Secretary, managing client relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining robust corporate governance practices. The role also involves overseeing statutory filings, conducting annual reviews, and supporting risk management and team initiatives.

Requirements

Professional chartered secretary qualification (or part-qualification), Minimum of six years prior experience in a corporate secretarial role, Thorough knowledge of Bermuda company legislation and related ROC and BMA regulations, Technical background in and knowledge of Bermuda reinsurance and Fund industries’ regulatory, compliance and governance frameworks advantageous, Appropriate knowledge of AML/ATF legislation and requirements, Strong working knowledge of corporate administration processes and associated best practices, Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Viewpoint or other entity management systems.
