Investment Accounting And Operations Manager

The Investment Accounting and Operations Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, investment accounting and portfolio reporting, as well as supporting investment portfolio operations, including liaising with investment managers on day-to-day activities and special projects as required. The position will report to the Finance Director. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Ensuring quality of reporting from investment administrator and managers and track investment valuation and performance information • Preparing investments-related financial and regulatory reports, including for GAAP and regulatory statements, and supporting related internal reporting and external audit deliverables • Developing and producing internal investment management reporting and Board review materials • Maintaining portfolio reporting dashboards for monitoring performance, risk, and cash flows to support strategic and tactical asst allocation Developing and maintaining investment accounting and portfolio-related process documentation • Contributing to enhancement of investment accounting and operations processes, controls, and related documentation Monitoring portfolio compliance with investment guidelines • Supporting with special projects as required Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) • 5 years of directly applicable experience with at least 3 years post-qualification experience obtained in (re)insurance investment accounting or portfolio management, institutional investment management, or extemal audit focusing on investments • Strong knowledge of investment accounting concepts; knowledge and experience with private / alternative investments preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience developing and implementing Excel automation solutions such as macros Excellent analytical, organizational, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills Strong work ethic, with a high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task independently, meet and adapt to variable deadlines, and take initiative • Desire to leam and grow professionally, and to contribute beyond the role requirements above, in an energetic and entrepreneurial small team environment
