The motivated individual to fill the position will be responsible for but not limited to: Operate a forklift and hold a current valid heavy truck license. General maintenance of forklift and truck. Ensure all vehicles are in good working order and road worthy. Transport goods between the Garden Centre and Somerset Production Facility. Unload all incoming merchandise and verify to packing/invoice, and store item appropriately. Liaise with stock clerk to ensure sales floor shelves are stocked and correctly priced. Maintain and receive orders at the warehouse. Assist with general facility maintenance. Delivery of purchases to clients. Assist and advise customers with queries and purchases of plants and horticultural products. Repot plants, when required. Must be able to identify plants, plant pests and diseases and recommend solutions. Ability to work as part of a busy team as well as working on own initiative. The applicant should be physically fit as bending and lifting is required.

Requirements

Must hold a current valid heavy truck license. Applicant should have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role. Must be physically fit as bending and lifting is required. Able to identify plants, pests, and diseases. Required to work weekends and some Public Holidays.
