Trust Officer

The Trust Officer will report to the Vice President, Trust Services and is responsible for the management of a portfolio of complex Trust and Companies. The incumbent must be able to exercise mature, reliable judgement in the interpretation of trust deeds and maintain client relationships. Responsibilities include the management and administration of a portfolio of trusts, onboarding, ongoing administration, compliance, and management of Private Trust companies and Purpose Trusts. The role involves maximising client relationships, maintaining information on beneficiaries and advisors, ensuring adherence to trust provisions and policies, analysing trust documents, and managing operational risks.

Requirements

University degree in finance, business, or law and a minimum five years relevant experience in financial services, trust administration, law or banking. Hold the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management and be a Full Member of STEP with the TEP designation. Strong understanding of investments and financial services. Ability to understand and interpret trust deeds and related documents. Good knowledge of Trust industry best practices. Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Fluency in a Foreign Language (such as German or Spanish) would be advantageous.
