QBE's internal reinsurer, QBE Capital is recruiting a Financial Controller. QBE Capital is an important exposure and capital management vehicle for the QBE Group. The Financial Controller for QBE Capital is responsible for leading finance control and financial reporting for the company. The role-holder is a member of the QBE Capital Leadership team reporting to the QBE Capital Chief Financial Officer. The Financial Controller is an integral member of the QBE Group-wide Financial Controller community and will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders including the QBE Capital Managing Director, Chief Actuary, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and Head of Regulatory Reporting and Capital Management as well as colleagues across the wider QBE Group. The Financial Controller is the lead point of contact for the external auditors. Key Responsibilities Design and oversee a robust financial control environment to ensure the integrity of financial information reported internally and externally. Lead financial reporting for QBE Capital to QBE Group and for external purposes, including AIFRS financial statements. Oversee general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial close processes in collaboration with Finance Operations. Set and manage QBE Capital's accounting policy, including determining the appropriate treatment for new products and initiatives, in alignment with Group accounting policy. Manage the external audit process and relationships with auditors. Oversee foreign exchange exposure management, including hedging strategies. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of financial control and reporting, in collaboration with Group teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across QBE Group and other divisions to support information flow, strategic alignment, and data-driven insight. Deliver clear and impactful presentations to key stakeholder forums, including the QBE Capital Board Audit Committee, Finance Management Committee, and all-team meetings. Chair the QBE Capital Finance Management Committee and contribute to QBE Capital's Leadership Team in shaping and executing strategic priorities. Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing Finance Control team, role-modelling the QBE DNA and fostering an empowered, collaborative culture. Skills and Experience Qualified Accountant with no less than eight years relevant experience in financial control and financial reporting in a large international insurance group. Strong knowledge of IFRS including IFRS17. Deep understanding of general (re)insurance. Proficiency in accounting software and tools. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams. Track record of improving financial control environments and close processes. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Collaborative and highly proactive team-player. High degree of integrity. Requirements

Qualified Accountant with no less than eight years relevant experience in financial control and financial reporting in a large international insurance group. Strong knowledge of IFRS including IFRS17. Deep understanding of general (re)insurance. Proficiency in accounting software and tools. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams. Track record of improving financial control environments and close processes. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Collaborative and highly proactive team-player. High degree of integrity.
