Housekeeper with Caregiving Experience

Atlantic Caregiving Ltd., provides personalized, holistic care and advocacy for our clients. Within this framework, our clients require personal and domestic support to maintain dignity and quality of life with a focus on domestic independence, while supporting their absolute wellbeing. The successful candidate must understand that normal working days includes early mornings, evenings, work nights, weekends and public holidays to meet the special needs of seniors, vulnerable and/or disabled clients of varying ages and level of ability, delivering safe, stimulating care in the client’s home and providing a safe, hygienic and engaged environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities This position is primarily intended to assist with housekeeping duties and to be available to provide care to the client as needed. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Residential cleaning, including deep cleaning Assisting clients with decreased mobility, memory challenges, and physical and/or mental limitations Supporting personal care needs such as bathing, lifting, dressing, and feeding Organizing and assisting with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and errands Administering first aid, including CPR if necessary Coordinating transportation to activities and appointments Providing daily reports on the client’s progress and changing needs Offering companionship and emotional support to clients.

Requirements

A certification or diploma in caregiving, nurse assistance, or nursing, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role. At least one (1) year of experience in residential housekeeping, with the ability to clearly describe the steps involved in cleaning a home. A current CPR certification is required. Fluency in English is required. If English is not your first language, you may be asked to provide proof of English proficiency through standardized tests such as MELAB, IELTS, or TOEFL. Must be able to provide daily reports on clients’ progress and needs. A valid driver’s license is required. The successful candidate must understand that obtaining a Bermudian driver’s license is mandatory for this position. The role requires flexibility, as working hours will be based on client needs. The candidate must be willing and available to work early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
