Unit Assistant

As a Unit Assistant in the Acute Care Ward, under the general direction of the Unit Manager, you will coordinate and perform clerical duties, assist in establishing effective communication patterns within the unit and the hospital, and support the vision, mission, and values of the Bermuda Hospitals Board. Responsibilities include greeting patients and visitors, managing phone calls, maintaining information boards, distributing mail, assisting with medical records, and keeping work areas tidy.

Requirements

High School graduate with Secretarial/typing course; Knowledge of Microsoft Suites; Knowledge of AS400 is an asset; Minimum of one year clerical experience preferably in a healthcare environment; Ability to cope in high-stress situations; Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills required.
