MANAGER, BERMUDA INSURANCE OPERATIONS

Allied World Assurance Company, Ltd seeks an individual to serve in the role of Manager, Insurance Operations for our Bermuda branch. The Manager will lead our Insurance Operations team and liaise with Allied World's Bermuda Underwriters to provide best-in-class customer service and drive operational efficiency. A successful candidate will be experienced in insurance operations and bring strategic, decision-making, and people leadership skills. The position reports to the Vice President, Operations for Bermuda. Responsibilities Include: * Manage and mentor Operations staff in their day-to-day assignments, ensuring that team members are motivated, effective, and productive in supporting Underwriters across lines of business. * Attend regular meetings and coordinate with a third-party administrator to ensure Underwriters' service requirements are met. * Manage standards for Underwriting lines of business e-filing and diary systems. Help lead and provide oversight of internal and external audits. * Manage departmental data integrity including monthly and weekly reconciliation using data warehouse and Excel data. * Correspond with brokers and underwriters with respect to queries. * Manage resources, projects, and team workflow to align with the company's overall vision. Identify and implement strategies for meeting Operational objectives. * Prepare management reports for the Underwriting teams. Work with Underwriting Leads to address concerns and propose process changes. * Liaise with various internal departments including Underwriting, Legal, Finance, and Claims. Work with Finance to reconcile booked premiums. * Manage lines of business and account assignments. * Responsible for significant decisions on the team's purpose, functions, and roles. * Track and report on individual and team performance based on volume of accounts supported and SLAs. * Document workflows and create and maintain process maps and training materials. * Responsible for onboarding and training of Operations staff on technology, systems, processes, and products. * Other duties, as may be assigned. Education, Skills and Experience: The successful applicant will have the minimum skills, qualifications, and experience: * Bachelor's degree required. * Knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty products and processes. * Minimum of five (5) years' Insurance Operations experience servicing internal/external customers. * Prior Managerial experience in Insurance Operations preferred. * Experience designing and interpreting performance management reports. * Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and consensus building skills. * Strategic thinker and sound decision maker who takes action. * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required. Knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty products and processes. Minimum of five (5) years' Insurance Operations experience servicing internal/external customers. Prior Managerial experience in Insurance Operations preferred. Experience designing and interpreting performance management reports. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and consensus building skills. Strategic thinker and sound decision maker who takes action. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
