Lancashire Insurance Company Limited (LICL), a member of the Lancashire Insurance Group, is seeking an experienced Claims professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational and technical control of all Bermuda claims activity and will lead an efficient, effective and driven team in the successful delivery of the key objectives of the business in line with regulatory best practices, all relevant legislation and legal frameworks. The candidate will also oversee the efficacy of our reserving practices across Property, Specialty and Casualty Reinsurance claims and ensure operational functionality across each of those classes. Additional responsibilities include ensuring a collegiate and collaborative approach to the management of Property Reinsurance claims across our Bermuda and Lloyds platforms, while respecting our Group Operating guidelines is maintained.

Requirements

At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position within the reinsurance industry. University degree and/or professional insurance qualification preferred (ACII, AIC, CPCU). Strong understanding of insurance / reinsurance principles and markets. Experience handling Casualty claims preferred. Excellent numeracy and analytical skills. Accuracy and attention to detail with high standards. Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills. Able to work effectively under pressure, both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
