Geneva Re Ltd. is registered as a Class 3A insurer and commenced operations in 2019. The Company's operations include the reinsurance of property, casualty, and specialty products. The Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Geneva Re Partners, LLC ("Holdings"), a Delaware limited liability company. Holdings is a joint venture formed between Ryan Specialty Group, LLC and certain of its shareholders, and Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company ("Nationwide"), an Ohio mutual insurance company. Geneva Re Ltd. and its affiliates are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated professionals for the positions of Finance Managers to report to the Financial Controller. The Finance Managers will be responsible for overseeing the accounting, reporting, and systems processes for the Company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepare management accounts and reports including variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods. • Assist in preparation of the annual budget and periodic reforecast, including projections for P&L and Balance Sheet • Prepare annual audited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. • Assist in the preparation of the annual Bermuda regulatory filings and ensure compliance with applicable Bermuda law and regulations. • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and ensure financial statements and underwriting-related transactions are prepared in accordance with US GAAP. • Develop, implement, and maintain process documentation and controls over financial reporting and compliance. • Assist in identifying opportunities for automation with a focus on the integrity of the financial data, processes, and controls. • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and drive the execution of team deliverables. • Liaise with internal and external auditors and other third-party service providers. • Interact with the Bermuda based finance team and work closely with affiliated entities and third-party service providers. • Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 5 years or more experience within a re/insurance or auditing firm. • Proven experience performing technical reinsurance accounting, as well as variance analysis, budgeting, and preparation of Bermuda regulatory filings in a P&C reinsurance context. • Proven ability to manage process changes and develop automation processes. • In-depth and current knowledge of US GAAP + BSCR. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.5 years or more experience within a re/insurance or auditing firm.
