This is a new role that will assist with the oversight and management of the investment portfolio of the Group. This is a role with a broad range of responsibilities, including: Contributing to the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of Investment policies, processes, controls and reporting in accordance with the Company's risks framework; Ensuring preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual Investment reporting to internal management and external reporting: Identifying opportunities for and implementing automation and streamlining of processes on the Investments team; Preparing investment forecasts for monthly and ad-hoc reporting to senior management; Reviewing and analyzing performance metrics for the investment portfolio by identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement; Monitoring group and portfolio level investment compliance to ensure consistent with investment guidelines and group liquidity requirements: Assisting in the analysis, due-diligence, and on-boarding of new strategies; and Coordinating with internal stakeholders including risk management, capital modelling, sustainability and investment accounting. The postholder will gain exposure to all aspects of investment operations, with constant interaction with portfolio managers, custodian and internal stakeholders across the group. Qualifications and Experience Educated to Bachelor's degree level from an accredited college or university in business, finance or accounting: Progress toward or interest in attaining a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation: 3-5 years of work experience in the financial services industry; experience in and knowledge of insurance asset management; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bloomberg is preferred; Knowledge of investment strategies, securities, markets; Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; and Excellent oral and written communication skills
