The Desktop Solutions Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for the Bermuda office, managing incidents, and enhancing the end-user experience. This position involves collaboration with the Workplace Engineering and Operations Chapter Lead, architect, and product teams, to refine existing workplace solutions and receive an opportunity to develop new ones within a dynamic technical environment.
Support innovative desktop engineering projects that bring new features and tackle complex issues, including:
Windows 11 OS

Unified Endpoint Management (Intune and Autopilot) for mobile and desktop environments
Azure Active Directory
Deliver top-notch desk side or remote support to onsite colleagues, including VIP C-suite executives and board members, ensuring their technical needs are met with promptness and professionalism.
Navigate and resolve services or incidents/RCAs related to Microsoft and hardware services.
Capture, triage, troubleshoot, and conquer L2 incidents or chronic issues; escalate when necessary and collaborate with third parties to meet support requirements.
Ensure smooth on-site preparation and support for high-stakes leadership and executive board meetings.
Document solutions to issues and frequently engage with Level 1 and Level 2 teams to transfer knowledge effectively.
Partner across various teams to scope and define exciting engineering work items, driving successful outcomes.
Assist with onboarding new hires and ensure they are productive on day 1 of their hire date.
Retrieve, exchange and redeploy laptops and maintain hardware assets.
Evaluate and enhance the ongoing governance of cloud tools, e.g., reviewing features & tools aligned with architectural guidelines.
Support the Desktop Engineering team in developing, testing, and implementing groundbreaking solutions to elevate the end-user experience and security posture.
Collaborate dynamically with external vendors to monitor/track standards and project deliverables.
Foster a continuous improvement mindset to consistently seek and implement changes, boosting the effectiveness and scalability of the support teams.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in technology and software implementation, with expert knowledge of PC hardware, Windows, and 0365 applications.
Microsoft Certifications.
Strong technical aptitude to allow troubleshooting critical incidents and performing detailed root cause analysis with ease.
Proficient in PowerShell and PowerShell Workflow, and adept at troubleshooting PowerShell ISE.
Successfully managed end-user devices, audio-visual setups, and collaboration technologies.
Previous experience with ServiceNow and ITSM processes and can contribute input in streamlining operations efficiently.
Passionate about automation and self-service and can promote business use case for shift-left strategies and RPA-assisted fulfillment.
Known for driving cost-efficient, scalable, and flexible technology implementations.
Solid knowledge base encompassing both legacy and emerging technologies.
Skilled at performing objective due diligence on software and vendor selections.
Exceptional verbal, written, and facilitation skills, comfortable interacting with employees at all levels.
