Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of safe patient care as well as maintaining operational aspects of patient care in collaboration with other service areas for Reid Ward, Tarheel and Bridge House. Key Duties and Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with clinical and operational policies, procedures, and processes for staff providing patient care in the unit; supervising staff including conducting performance appraisals; making regular unit rounds to assess patient care and staff; participating in the process for admissions, discharges and transfers; collaborating with other Supervisors and Managers to resolve issues that cross departmental lines; reviewing occurrences/near miss reports; providing coverage support for the Clinical Manager on an as needed basis; and completing any other clinical duties as assigned by the Clinical Manager.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience include a Bachelor Science Degree Nursing (BSN) or Registered Mental Health (RMN) with three years management experience either in a supervisory or functional area; Advanced Nursing Certification in Mental Health is preferred; and Current licensure and registration as required by the Bermuda Nurses Council.
