Looking for an experienced and passionate Full-Time Beekeeper to join our team. Must have a minimum of at least 3 years of experience in commercial beekeeping, being familiar with all aspects of colony maintenance, honey harvesting, and apiary site maintenance. Extensive knowledge of beekeeping practices, including hive management, queen rearing, disease identification and treatment and honey harvesting. Ability to work independently and a part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions. Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and late nights as well as weekends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in beekeeping and will be responsible for the maintenance and management of our apiaries. Maintain and manage our apiaries, including the installation and maintenance of beehives, and maintenance of apiary locations. Monitor, record and report on the health of the bee colonies including the identification, treatment and follow up observations of any disease or pests. Preform routine inspections of beehives to assess the strength of the colonies and make adjustments as required. Harvest and process bees wax and honey and manage its storage and packing. Keep detailed records of all beekeeping activities and maintain accurate inventory of supplies and equipment.
