Facilities Technician

Warwick Academy invites applications for a Facilities Technician. The commencement date would be as soon as possible after the recruitment process has been concluded. Key Responsibilities Include: • Routine Maintenance: Perform inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly. • Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues with building systems including plumbing, electrical and masonry. • Setup: Assist with setup and breakdown of school events. • Landscaping: Assist with grass cutting and field marking of sports fields and surrounding foliage. • Porter: Distribution of school supplies that arrive at the school. • General: Facility maintenance work. • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and operational policies. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work are preferred. • Experience: Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is highly valued. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in performing maintenance tasks across various systems, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions. • Communication: Excellent communication skills, oral and written, to interact with staff and contractors effectively We are looking for Bermudians, Spouse of Bermudians or PRC holders.
