Operations Supervisor

An exciting opportunity exists for an Operations Supervisor (OS) to provide oversight of day-to-day operations, supervise and direct our operations team, handle customer enquiries, prepare proposals and lead on the use of inventory management software. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), key areas of responsibility include: Supervising and allocating the day-to-day work assignments. Supervising an operations team and ensuring that work is performed to company standards Driving a customer and quality focused operation by working collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls and procedures that ensure the consistent delivery of excellent client service Overseeing all aspects of the inventory management software Ensuring security, regulatory and compliance systems and processes are superior and remain current Working autonomously while ensuring the COO's expectations are met and providing regular reports Fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment across the operations areas of the Company Representing Origin with clients, vendors, business partners and community stakeholders

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required Five years of work experience with at least two in a Supervisory position Heavy Truck License preferred (Intermediate license is a minimum) An understanding of the industry including associated risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements Strong written, verbal and presentation skills along with excellent judgment and decision-making skills Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products. Experience with database management systems is preferred. Proven experience in a warehouse, inventory control and/or logistics related business, will be an asset A recognized Supervisory Management Certificate is preferred A performance-driven ethos and willingness to take on new tasks with an attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved
