Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certification in marine mechanics or a related field preferred. • Mercury Marine certifications or equivalent training in Mercury engines is highly desirable. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a marine technician, specifically with Mercury, Yamaha, and Suzuki outboard preferred. Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with MerCruiser engines/Transom assemblies and Outdrives is preferred. • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software related to Mercury engines (e.g., Mercury CDS G3). • Expertise in Mercury engine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. • Strong understanding of marine electrical systems, fuel systems, and engine cooling systems. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, service manuals, and schematics. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix complex engine issues. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Good communication skills to interact with both team members and customers • Personal basic hand tools required Valid Light Truck Drivers License • Willingness to travel to customer locations for on-site repairs when necessary • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends depending on work loadsSalary
