Tomorrow’s Voices – Bermuda Autism Early Intervention Centre is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. We are a well-established non-profit organization providing therapy to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about speech and language development, enthusiastic about working in a collaborative ABA-based environment and committed to helping individuals reach their full communication potential.Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication skills
  • Delivering direct therapy services across a wide age span and range of clients
  • Supporting clients with complex communication needs, including AAC/PECS
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans aligned with best practices and maintaining client documentation using the appropriate paperwork and systems, ensuring documentation meets current standards and policies
  • Observing and evaluating treatment effect; communicating client progress to families, caregivers, appropriate staff and members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Meeting ethical standards outline by best practice.
  • Using objective clinical measures to identify problems and formulate treatment plans based on realistic stated goals; carry out specific therapeutic interventions as indicated
  • Keeping accurate data of clinical sessions and administrative time for both scheduling and billing purposes
  • Supervising, mentoring, and delegating specific written treatment plans to clinicians, assistants, and/or interns
  • Designing and modeling speech/language strategies for families and members of their multidisciplinary team
  • Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
  • Collaborating closely with BCBAs and other clinical staff
  • Participating in community training workshops, ongoing professional development, and leading workshops and training where appropriate under the umbrella of the multi-disciplinary clinical team.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid registration/license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility preferred
  • Local registration to practice with the Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP) and meet all re-registration requirements
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or developmental disabilities
  • Demonstrated hands-on therapy with individuals with Apraxia, articulation disorders, and other speech impediments and demonstrate competency with the use of assistive technology (e.g., PECS, AAC devices, etc.) as well as other Language Tools/Apps
  • Previous experience working in a collaborative setting alongside ABA clinicians or behavioral teams.Required Competencies, Skills and Abilities

  • This is an in-person role based at our clinical Centre with scheduling that may result in in-home or in-school services.
  • Flexibility in schedule may be required to meet client needs.
