The Legal and Policy Manager reports to the Director, Legal and Policy and is responsible for the corporate secretarial function, policy management and general legal advice in support of CITA’s Board of Directors and its governance and legislative objectives. Key duties include taking minutes at committee and Board meetings, preparing well-researched documents, assisting in policy reviews and drafting, communicating policy changes, ensuring compliance with the Agency’s corporate income tax framework, and staying informed on legislative developments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Law from a commonwealth jurisdiction with at least 2 years post qualification experience is preferred, but applicants with significant paralegal or legal executive qualifications or experience will also be considered. A valid Fit and Proper Person Certificate and a valid Practicing Certificate from the Bermuda Bar Association, or eligibility to obtain one, is required. Professional certification in policy analysis, economic policy, or taxation is an asset.
