Bermuda Motors is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Refinish Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in modern refinishing techniques, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities • Vehicle Preparation: Meticulously prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning to ensure a perfect finish. • Paint Application: Perform high-quality spray painting and refinishing using the latest approved techniques and materials. Color Matching: Accurately match and mix paint colors to precise manufacturer and custom specifications. • Defect Repair: Expertly repair paint defects such as scratches, dents, and surface imperfections to achieve an undetectable finish. an • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous, multi-stage quality control checks to ensure every finish is flawless and meets or exceeds manufacturer and company standards. • Equipment Care: Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on all painting equipment, including spray guns and booths, to ensure optimal performance and safety. • Workshop Standards: Uphold a professional and safe work environment by strictly adhering to all company safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with body shop technicians, estimators, and supervisors to ensure a smooth workflow and meet deadlines. • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for all jobs, including work orders, time logs, and materials used, to ensure proper record-keeping and billing. • Punctuality & Reliability: Maintain excellent timekeeping and demonstrate flexibility for overtime when required to meet business needs.

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications • High school diploma o diploma of equivalent is preferre or equivalent is preferred. • Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is highly desirable. • Valid certification as an A.C.E. (Automotive Service Excellence) and City and Guilds (part three) or equivalent will be an asset. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an automotive painter. • In-depth knowledge of modern paint systems, materials, and application techniques. • Proven ability to color match with precision and achieve flawless finishes. • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. • Familiarity with safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). • Experience with the 22/55 Glasurit paint line is a significant asset.
