On behalf of our client, Bermuda Commercial Bank Limited (“BCB”), we are seeking a highly qualified, dynamic and result orientated individual to fulfill the role of Head of Internal Audit. The Head of Internal Audit is responsible for performing a programme of continuous audit, in order to evaluate and test the internal controls of the Bank and its operating subsidiaries and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. The successful candidate will manage multiple work priorities and work-streams, and is expected to be strongly self-motivated and capable of producing clear and concise written documentation. They will produce and provide regular management reports on activity, findings and risk exposure. The role reports functionally to the Audit Committee Chairman and operationally, day to day, to the Chief Executive Officer.

Requirements

University degree in Business, Accounting or a related discipline; A professional accounting qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIA); Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in banking or financial services including four (4) years in internal audit, financial audits, controls and process reviews or demonstrated superior experience at an equivalent level; Experience in Temenos T24 Core banking system, Netinfo, Great Plains and Viewpoint preferable; Advanced knowledge in spreadsheet development, risk analysis, general accounting and financial analysis; Sound multi-focus skills and ability to work under pressure, adhere to tight deadlines and work overtime when required; Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to work independently and take overall ownership of tasks; and Excellent Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
