Bermuda Alzheimer’s & Memory Services (BEAMS), is seeking Caregivers with at least two years of relevant care experience to care for elderly clients mostly with Dementia/ Alzheimer’s. Caregivers must be prepared to care for clients in their homes. Available shifts include weekdays, evenings and weekends. Must be able to plan and follow a daily care schedule with clients, modify care plans as prescribed by medical professionals, and report on any new conditions or needs that may arise. Candidates must be certified or have experience caring for seniors in their homes, including those with mobility issues. Candidates must also have a current background clearance, registered with the Bermuda Health Council and the Bermuda Nursing Council and have an updated CPR certification. Key Duties and Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, following prescribed healthcare plans, ensuring home organization and safety, providing emotional support, mobility assistance, transporting clients to appointments, and monitoring health changes.

Requirements

All Candidates must have at least 2 years of consistent work history providing eldercare assistance or similar duties. Candidates must be certified to work as a caregiver, possess a valid First Aid / CPR certification and a clean criminal record. Candidates will possess a loving, kind, and patient deportment, and offer exceptional references. A Bermudian driver’s license may be strongly desired but not a criteria for obtaining this job. A professional and friendly attitude. Preparedness to work flexible hours, which include night shifts and weekends.
