Our Client, BAC Universal Electric Ltd., iis seeking a highly skilled professional in the field of Energy Management and Direct Digital Controls (DDC). This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team in designing, installing, commissioning, and servicing energy management and building automation control systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Execution: Ensure compliance with contract documents and oversee the preparation of engineering designs, submittal packages, and installation documents for fully functional control systems from various manufacturers. Energy Management: Develop customer energy master plans, conduct facility energy audits, and recommend energy-saving solutions. Business Development: Support sales and marketing initiatives for energy management solutions and products. Financial & Project Management: Perform financial analysis, project reconciliation, and performance trending, ensuring effective resource allocation, equipment scheduling, and manpower forecasting. Training & Workforce Development: Lead and implement structured training programs to enhance the technical expertise of team members in system design, installation, and maintenance of direct digital control (DDC) systems. This includes ongoing education in DDC applications, product-specific training, and industry best practices to ensure continuous professional growth. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 10+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, electrical control systems design, and installation. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Instrumentation & Controls, or Mechanical Engineering. Degree may be offset by eight years of experience in servicing electronic and or mechanical systems. Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and developing schematics for control systems. Strong technical knowledge of electric, electronic, and pneumatic control systems used in building automation. Extensive software and networking expertise, including - Software: AutoCAD, Visio, Derby Databases, Flash, Word, Excel, Access, MySQL, Linux, SQL Server. - Networking: Ethernet, Arcnet, TCP/IP, MS/TP, BACnet/IP, Modbus, LonWorks, - Active/Passive network component design and installation. - Web and database experience is a plus. Ability to work independently in a demanding environment, meeting strict project deadlines, with flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as required. Industry Certifications & Experience: - Professional certification in energy management (such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent). - Experience with design, engineering, and programming for Automated Logic and Trane Summit control systems at the hardware and software levels. - Experience managing projects in data centers and other critical facility environments. - Experience with design, engineering and programming of Honeywell control systems, Johnson Controls DX controllers and Facility Explorer controls systems. is preferred. - Start-up certification for variable frequency inverts, preferably for ABB, ACH500, ACH400, ACH550 and ACH580), but Yaskawa and Danfoss certifications will also be considered. - Certification for Tridium Niagara at the hardware and software level is preferable.
