ELECTRICAL PROJECTS MANAGER

The position of Electrical Projects Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects at various stages and for overseeing projects from pre-construction to closeouts. The successful candidate will analyze tender drawings and specifications, coordinate materials procurement, manage field labour/sub-contractors and ensure compliance with NEC and all other applicable codes and safe working practices. Additional responsibilities include technical submittal compilation, creation of purchase orders, contract change orders, and requests for information and close-out documentation including O&M manuals. Qualifications, Education and/or Experience: - A minimum of eight (8) or more year's extensive experience / knowledge of electrical construction, design and projects management as an Electrical Project Manager or similar position in a commercial, institutional, or industrial environment - Must be a qualified electrician with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in supervising the installation of electrical distribution systems - Experience in managing large commercial, institutional, and industrial electrical power projects - A thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, applicable codes, etc.) - Proficiency with Microsoft application software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and Power Point) - Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment - Ability to work under pressure and multi-task with excellent attention to detail - Possess demonstrated leadership qualities and proven past project successes - Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications - Working knowledge of the National Electric Code NFPA 70 and NFPA 72
