BAC Group is seeking to employ a Top Grade Pipefitter/Welder. Successful candidate will be responsible for performing pipefitting and welding tasks on various industrial projects. Your expertise in pipefitting, welding techniques, and ability to work with precision and efficiency will be crucial in delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring project success. Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities: 1. Pipefitting and Welding: Perform pipefitting tasks, including layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and applicable codes. Utilize various welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, stick) to weld and join pipes, fittings, and other components, ensuring strong, leak-free connections. Cut, thread, groove, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and machinery. Select and install appropriate pipe supports, hangers, and brackets to ensure stability and alignment of the piping system. 2. Interpretation of Blueprints and Specifications: Read and interpret detailed blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications to understand the scope of work, materials required, and project requirements. Plan and organize work tasks accordingly, ensuring accurate layout, measurements, and adherence to project specifications. 3. Quality Control and Inspections: Conduct quality control inspections of completed work to verify conformance to specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. Identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies in the piping system, ensuring compliance with project requirements. Perform pressure tests and leak checks on completed piping systems to ensure integrity and functionality. 4. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices during pipefitting and welding activities. Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks, actively contributing to a culture of safety awareness. 5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople, contractors, project managers, and supervisors to ensure efficient project coordination and successful completion. Communicate and coordinate with team members to plan and execute work tasks, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruptions. Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Pipefitting Journeyman License or relevant trade certification. Welding certification(s) (e.g., AWS Certified Welder or ASME IX and B31.1). OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Construction Safety Training. Extensive experience as a Pipefitter/Welder, with a proven track record of excellence in the field. Proficient in pipefitting techniques, including layout, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems. Expertise in various welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, stick) with the ability to produce high-quality welds. Knowledge of different types of pipes, fittings, and materials used in industrial settings. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as ASME, API, and AWS. First Aid/CPR Certification.
