Associate, Bermuda Actuarial

Global Atlantic is looking for an Associate Actuary to join the Bermuda Actuarial team. This role will be based in our Hamilton, Bermuda office and will be part of the team supporting the Bermuda valuation and reporting process. The Associate Actuary will also act as a liaison between Actuarial Valuation, IT, Risk, and Finance as part of the production valuation process. Key Responsibilities: • Working with Bermuda Valuation team to analyze and explain model results for base and sensitivity/stress runs • Contributing to the modernization efforts for the production valuation process • Participate in the development, maintenance, and review of the Python models • Onboarding new reinsurance deals into the production valuation process • Executing validation and UAT procedures on new model output • Assist with the development of internal controls and documentation for audit and regulatory requests

Requirements

5+ years experience in the (re)insurance industry • ASA (or equivalent) actively working toward Fellowship designation, or FSA/equivalent. • Life and Annuity experience strongly preferred • Coding language experience required (Python preferred) • Strong Excel knowledge (Power Query a plus) • Strong communication, technical and analytical, skills • Actuarial modeling software experience a plus (MG ALFA preferred) • Takes personal accountability for the execution of goals and objectives • Ability to work independently in face-paced environment • Has positive attitude necessary to be a part of a strong performing team
