Senior Actuarial Consultant, FIA Valuation

Talcott is seeking a Senior Actuarial Consultant to support its entry into the retail U.S. Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuity (MYGA) and Fixed Indexed Annuity (FIA) market space. This role will support development of financial reporting and valuation of the retail FIA product, including model testing, control development, and management reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field. • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or near Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). • At least five years of experience in insurance or finance, including actuarial valuation, modeling, and proficiency with GGY AXIS modeling software. • Strong knowledge of Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuities and Fixed Indexed Annuities is preferred. • Excellent technical skills with a keen eye for detail to review model results, improve processes, and solve complex problems. • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and external partners. • Understanding of interdependence and workflows across functions and geographies within a group framework. • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn new concepts, think creatively and critically, and adjust to the challenges of a fast-paced environment. • Aptitude for technical software and coding, including proficiency in Excel, VBA, Python, and R. • Results-driven, able to work under tight deadlines in a high-performance environment.
