Reserving Actuary

Our client, MultiStrat Advisors Ltd., is a specialty reinsurance company headquartered in Bermuda. Given the recent growth of MultiStrat Advisors Ltd., they are now looking for an actuary to join their growing team to support their reserving function, reporting to the Executive Director, Performance and Portfolio Management. Roles and Responsibilities: Support individual deal and portfolio-level reserving, including claims analysis and loss development for Quota Share and LPT programs. Develop and enhance reserving methodologies and internal benchmarks across business lines. Collaborate with external actuaries and assist with statutory and regulatory reserve reviews. Conduct reserve modeling for renewals, actual vs. expected analysis, and contribute to management and investor reporting. Partner with underwriting, actuarial, and technical accounting teams on pricing, collateral modeling, and commutations. Skills and Experience Required: Qualified actuary with 5+ years of property/casualty experience with a minimum of 2 years obtained post qualification. Medium to Long tail or Specialty lines reserving experience. Ability to develop loss reserving triangulation methodologies. Python or R experience or Visual Basic is preferable. Excellent communication skills. Ability to apply actuarial knowledge to different situations and risks.

Requirements

Qualified actuary with 5+ years of property/casualty experience with a minimum of 2 years obtained post qualification. Medium to Long tail or Specialty lines reserving experience. Ability to develop loss reserving triangulation methodologies. Python or R experience or Visual Basic is preferable. Excellent communication skills.
