RISK MANAGER

RISK MANAGER Duties & Responsibilities The role will report to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer. This position will be located in Bermuda. Key responsibilities include: Support CRCO in implementing a comprehensive Risk Strategy. Support the delivery of the annual Risk Plan and the activities of the Risk Management function. Support the implementation of the comprehensive risk management framework for the entity, aligned with the GRS Risk Framework to ensure consistent, enterprise-wide risk management practices. Assist in overseeing the capital adequacy, including stress testing and the annual Capital and Solvency Return process. Coordinate risk-related regulatory requirements and reporting. Maintain a clear risk appetite framework. Ensure risk appetites are considered and embedded in decision making and assist CRCO in reporting to senior management on the risk profile against appetite; Maintain the risk identification and assessment process, ensuring the Risk Management function and management have a clear and continuous view of the risk exposure of the organization; Work closely with business functions to monitor risk exposures and advise on risk mitigation strategies where required. This will include partnering with the business to understand the impact of new projects and initiatives. Coordinate the development of an effective framework for the management of climate change and wider sustainability risks. Support a strong risk culture to reinforce risk awareness and transparent, risk-informed decision making. Assist in the production of all regular and ad hoc reporting from the Risk Management function, including to the Audit and Risk Management Committee, Board, regulators, and other key stakeholders. Perform other related duties as required. Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree, preferably in Actuarial Science and/or Risk Management, is required. An internationally recognized risk management designation (PRM, FRM). Strong risk management background and understanding of capital and risk models. Risk, accountancy, or actuarial experience coupled with relevant education. Analytical and quantitative skills. A minimum of 5 years of P&C insurance/reinsurance experience in the specific fields of risk management. Knowledge of global insurance markets and regulatory capital frameworks, especially in Bermuda, the US, and Europe. Analytical/problem solving and research skills. Strong relationship/inter-personal skills Good presentation skills Ability to manage time, projects and budgets.

Requirements
