Reporting to the Head of Bermuda Claims, the purpose of this role is to handle and adjust all insurance claims activities. The ideal candidate will be a motivated claims adjuster who can adapt to a wide range of challenges and engage successfully across the business. Key Duties & Responsibilities: • Manage D&F claims from first notification to final resolution, including appointing and liaising with loss adjusters, experts, brokers, insureds, and underwriters to ensure accurate assessment and compliance with policy terms. • Ensure all claims information is accurately recorded in the system of record, and that service targets are consistently met. • Support the monthly close process, including reserve reconciliations, and liaise with Operations, Finance, and Actuarial departments. • Monitor and report on KPIs; provide regular updates to the Head of Bermuda Claims. • Build and maintain a network of subject matter experts; monitor significant market losses and report claims intelligence to the broader business. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior staff. Assist with project work and support claims handling across other lines of business as required. Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 5 years of experience in the insurance industry within a claims role. Strong background in North American Property CAT claims and Property D&F insurance. Demonstrated, practical understanding of Claims systems. • Insurance designation (e.g. ACII, CPCU, ARM, AIC) an asset. • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proven ability to quickly grasp new concepts and proactively pursue professional development. • Strong prioritisation and time management skills with a high degree of accuracy. • Willingness and ability to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays, as required. • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
