BNRE Bermuda Services Ltd. is hiring a BNRE Bermuda Services Ltd. (BNRE Services) seek applications to fill the role of Accountant, Finance. BNRE Services supports the wholly owned subsidiaries of Brookfield Wealth Solutions. Reporting into and working closely with the Manager, Finance, the Accountant will support the investment accounting and finance activities within the Group.
Responsibility over investment accounting in accordance with US GAAP for the reinsurance business, and reporting to the Group; Assist in the implementation of all aspects of the investment accounting function, including implementation of processes, tools and systems to assess, measure, manage, monitor and report on the financials; Working closely with the Investment Operations and Clearwater teams to ensure cash transactions are tagged appropriately and investment data is accurate in the system; Working closely with internal audit to ensure investment SOX controls are designed and implemented appropriately; Assist with preparation and reviews of cedant reporting relating to the investment portfolio; Assist with the preparation and filing of statutory reports on a timely basis; Liaise with various stakeholder groups, both externally (auditors, administrators) and internally; Prepare ad-hoc analyses and presentations for senior management group, as required. Support of financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP for the reinsurance business, and reporting to the Group; Assist with financial reporting function, including implementation of processes, tools and systems to assess, measure, manage, monitor and report on results;
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or other related technical discipline; Professional accounting qualification (i.e. CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA) with at least 1 year's post qualification experience in accounting/finance; Experience with financial reporting or auditing (re)insurance companies or investment funds under US GAAP or IFRS; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Results driven, highly analytical and great attention to detail; Experience with Clearwater investment accounting software is would be useful; Experience with Dynamics, Workiva, and working in a life-reinsurance start-up environment, would be useful.Not specified
