Ascot Underwriting (Bermuda) Limited is hiring a Our client, Ascot Underwriting (Bermuda) Limited ("AUB"), is seeking an FP&A Analyst. This position is responsible for supporting the business through planning, reporting, and evaluation of strategic opportunities. This role will work closely with the underwriters, functional owners, Bermuda management, UK and US finance, FP&A and MI teams across the group. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple disparate data sources, understand financial trends, create clear reporting views and communicate outputs and drivers effectively across multiple interested parties.
► FP&A ANALYST
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage the planning and forecasting process for multiple cost and profit centers including both underwriting and expense plans across multiple entities, contributing to annual planning and quarterly forecasting cycles
• Work with global FP&A to develop best practices across jurisdictions, identifying opportunities to expand business lines
• Produce and present reporting packs for management, entity, and external purposes, constantly enhancing the quality and standardization of Bermuda and Group reporting
• Lead the reporting, analysis, documentation, process improvement and communications for the Group expense and allocations management
• Assist with the design, building and implementation of the global planning system
• Analyze monthly/quarterly results for Bermuda profit centers, including production of close results and recurring MI reports to the PC and segment heads
• Work with other functional areas (accounting, actuarial, underwriting, operations, reinsurance, IT, HR, compliance/legal), to make sure business has the data, reporting tools and support necessary to be successful
• Assist with regular management reporting including submission, rate/retention, premium, reinsurance, expenses/T&E, commissions, allocations, and other required KPI's
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and projects as required by management
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or relevant business-related subject
• An internationally recognized accounting qualification
• A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience recently gained working within the P&C (re)insurance sector
• Deep knowledge and working experience of US GAAP. Must also be familiar with Bermuda, UK, Lloyd's and US regulatory regimes for global (re)insurance companies
• Advanced Power BI skills and experience, and ownership of quarterly and monthly MI reporting experience
• Proven proficiency with finance systems planning tools is essential. Experience in SUN, Phinsys and TM1 is strongly preferred
• Exceptionally strong analytic and technical accounting skills, with demonstrable ability to assume group-wide FP&A responsibility
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and discretion to handle confidential dataNot specified
