Marsh Management Services is the exclusive captive solutions division of Marsh Inc., which includes providing advice, implementation, management and actuarial services. Marsh Management Services is interviewing candidates for the following position based in the Bermuda office. The Insurance Executive is responsible for handling technical insurance and reinsurance matters of a portfolio of MMS clients, consisting primarily of but not limited to captive insurance entities. The senior role acts as the main contact and resource on all insurance related issues and matters to ensure the delivery of high quality service to clients, whilst providing technical insurance support to MMS team colleagues. He/she provides insurance monitoring and control, and ensures regulatory compliance. It is a consulting, advisory, and managerial position. Working with the most innovative and respected insurance colleagues in the industry Manages the insurance renewal process in a timely manner Issues and inputs (re)insurance contracts, policy wordings and endorsements Leads and provides strategic input into program structure, design, and analysis Oversees claims processing and resolution reviews claims Ensures regulatory compliance Acts as Client Executive for certain clients Establishes and maintains good working relationships with clients, prospects, client teams, and colleagues Partners with the Account teams Monitors developments in the insurance, reinsurance, and captive marketplace and can speak to clients and prospects about matters that affect them Interacts with the regulator(s) to support chances to clients' business Acts as a technical resource for MMS colleagues Possesses technical ability to discuss regulatory updates with clients Negotiates fees and conducts management agreement discussions Manage colleagues, as required Be a resource to teams who need insurance advice Performs ither job-related duties as required An internationally recognized insurance and/or risk management qualification, such as ACII, CPCU, CIRM Minimum of 15 years of (re)insurance experience, with at least 5 in Captive Management Minimum of 15 years of recent experience building relationships with customers in an Insurance Management and/or Client Services role Minimum of 5 years of recent supervisory or management experience preferred Experience in the insurance regulatory environment Working knowledge of investment and insurance accounting Ability to provide training to Account Administrators and Insurance Managers Ability to lead client and prospect meetings. Ability to research complex matters independently Excellent knowledge of local regulations and procedures Strong knowledge of captive policy structures Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage own workload as well as work as part of a team must be able to work well under pressure Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to multitask
