Lorraine Nursing Home is seeking a qualified, highly motivated and experienced registered Senior Nurse to work in a 33-bed nursing home. Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) to provide care and assistance to assigned residents, enabling them to maintain a quality of life within limits to their health status and/or ageing. When the Administrator and the DON are not onsite or on leave, the senior nurse is the person in charge of the facility. Key Responsibilities Include: • Provides direct centered nursing care to residents Participates in the initial assessment and interview of resident's and family members, responsible to the DON. Supports, supervises and directs other nursing and facility staff as required Assumes in charge duties and deputizes in the absence of Lorraine Nursing Homes DON. Performs clinical functions, assumes responsibility for personal participation in professional organizations, continuing educational programs and development

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution Registered Nurse with current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council Current CPR certificate Five years post qualification experience in long term care or geriatric nursing care in a residential care facility Management Nursing Skills and Physical Assessment experience are required
