Works under general direction of the DON to provide personal care and assistance to assigned residents, enabling them to maintain a quality of life within limits to their health status and / or the ageing. Key Duties and Responsibilities include providing personal care and assistance for assigned residents, maintaining cleanliness and comfort, collecting specimens, recording vital signs, and cooperating with other staff to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

High School diploma, Certification as a Geriatric Aide, Registered with the Bermuda Nursing Council, Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a CNA, Good interpersonal and communication skills, Patience and understanding skills needed to work with the elderly, Strength to lift and transfer residents.
