Holding at least 8 - 10 years of experience in a senior carpentry role, we seek a master level Carpenter to support the site and finish/shop carpentry requirements of a large general contractor. Must be considered “top grade” in all aspects of formwork, roofing, drywall framing and installation, able to repair/create doors, staircases, structural beams, baseboards, doors, frames and windows. Must be comfortable with plans and blueprints, heights and cramped work spaces. The candidate will have experience in high specification projects and must be competent with IT, (including email, phone, apps, etc) and complete projects from drawings to client handover. The candidate will preferably be certified in OSHA/NCCER health and safety training including fall arrest, WHIMIS and man-lift operation. Applicants will be willing and able to work at significant heights and be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of relevant roofing installation techniques. Those with some background in carpentry will be favorably considered. Must have English fluency. Kaissa is a multi-discipline contracting operation and all operatives must have a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to get projects completed expeditiously. This will include occasional work outside of expertise including unloading, clean-up and demolition.
