Accounting Associate – Cost Control

Forte Building Group is Bermuda’s leading construction group, proudly uniting Greymane Contracting Ltd., Kaissa Ltd., and Builders Depot under one holding company. Our growing team is committed to building lasting relationships and advancing Bermuda’s built environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Associate – Cost Control to join our Finance Team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of project financial data across the Forte Building Group entities. This position supports the full project-to-cash cycle, from job setup and billing through to revenue recognition and forecasting. Key responsibilities include cost control, project accounting, project administration, accounts receivable, billing & collections, inventory & fixed asset control, and financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, with CPA (or equivalent) designation. • 5 years of experience in accounting and administrative support in the construction industry. • Experience in accounting and construction software (e.g. Access COINS, Sage 300 CRE, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, hh2, Exaktime, Kojo). • Strong working knowledge Construction Accounting and job cost tracking. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Self-motivated and collaborative team player. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, basic modeling). • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook.
