Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of CG Health Ltd., you will be required to work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment while being responsible for daily and on-going pharmacist and store duties. In the absence of the pharmacist operations manager, you will act as dispensary manager including managing staff, customer service, inventory and dispensary operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform all pharmacist duties efficiently and professionally, ensuring safe, accurate, and compliant pharmacy operations
Develop, implement, and oversee pharmacy compounding capabilities, including specialised equipment, SOPs, inventory management, and coordination with patients and physicians for compounded prescriptions
Provide professional dispensing and patient counseling service for prescription and over the counter (OTC) products
Administer immunisations and organise immunisation clinics in accordance with regulatory requirements
Receive medication orders, perform data entry, fill prescriptions, and complete physical and clinical verification while maintaining efficient workflow management
Inventory management, including monitoring inventory levels, rotation of stock and checking expiry dates
Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers, physicians, vendors, and wholesalers
Insurance billing of prescription claims to insurance companies, tracking and clearing insurance payments and resolving discrepancies
Procure pharmaceuticals from local and overseas suppliers in a timely and cost-effective manner
Manage dispensary operations in the absence of the Pharmacist Operations Manager
Job Requirements:
Pharmacy degree from an accredited program with successful completion of national registration exams from the country of the accredited program
Completion of accredited compounding courses with 3+ years specialised compounding experience, including solid dosage forms (tablets and capsules), and a proven ability to train staff in advanced compounding
Minimum of 5 years' retail pharmacist experience, including recent dispensary management experience in Bermuda, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal staffing
Experience with automated dispensing systems, retail pharmacy software, POS systems, Microsoft Office, Monitored Dosage System packs, and medication reconciliation reviews
Experience organising and administering vaccination clinics; immunisation, CPR, and First Aid certified, with a track record of developing expanded pharmacy services to improve community health outcomes
Active pharmacy license to practice direct patient care in Bermuda
Strong knowledge of Bermuda pharmacy laws and regulations, pharmaceutical procurement, logistics, insurance billing, and the local and overseas pharmaceutical industry
Formal training or coursework in pharmacy business and pharmacy management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a history of outstanding customer service
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, public holidays, after-hours deliveries, and on-call overnight emergencies, with flexibility as service needs evolve
Physically able to lift heavy loads and drive a manual transmission
Willingness and ability to travel or relocate internationally for extended periods
