Key Responsibilities include: Maintains high standards for techniques, Client care, teamwork, and confidentiality. Rotates through imaging modalities based on experience and certifications. Prepares exam room and equipment in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and Client safety protocols. Performs radiographic imaging examinations, cross-sectional images of bones, organs and tissues and assists the Radiologists during interventional radiology (IR) procedures. Actions Physicians’ requisitions, produces, and evaluates images for technical quality. Operates and maintains Imaging support equipment. on-call and stand-by to all patient care areas as required Qualifications & Registration required: Undergraduate degree in Medical Imaging or Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution. Registration & certification from an accredited program: Radiology, CAT scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography and Bone Density. Maintains credentials as required by the standards of the Allied Health Council (Bermuda). Current Registration in one or more or equivalent: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), Diploma of College of Radiographers [Radiodiagnosis] (DCRR). Level 1 (Bermudian only) - Single modality in one of the applicable primary pathways – X-ray, MRI, Nuclear med. Zero – two (0-2) years of post-graduate experience required with the applicable certification from an accredited institution. Level 2 - Single modality in one of the applicable primary pathways – X-ray, MRI, Nuclear med. Two (2) or more years of postgraduate experience required with the applicable certification from an accredited institution (based on jurisdiction). Level 3 – Post-primary pathway in CAT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Bone Densitometry and two (2) or more years of post-graduate experience required with the applicable certifications from an accredited institution (based on jurisdiction) and actively rotating.
