Reporting to the VP Financial Planning and Analysis, this position is responsible for leading the Financial Planning and Analysis deliverables for Athene’s Bermuda entities. Job Responsibilities:

• Lead quarterly and annual financial planning and analysis processes for Athene’s Bermuda entities
• Work cross functionally with business units across Bermuda and the US to provide insightful analysis of business performance
• Prepare quarterly analysis presentations for internal executive management and Boards
• Present quarterly results analysis to Boards and key internal stakeholders
• Use results analysis and projections to proactively partner with all areas of Athene to develop recommendations for management that enhance financial results
• Suggest and implement plan/forecast process improvements
• Play a lead role in ensuring key data projects are successful within Financial Planning and Analysis and across Finance
• Participate in other ad hoc projects as required. Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree and professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA, ASA) in Accounting, Finance, or Actuarial
• 8+ years’ financial reporting experience including Financial Planning and Analysis and 4+ years’ demonstrated leadership experience
• At least 4 years of recent working experience with Bermuda Statutory, US Statutory, US GAAP, and Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet for reinsurance/insurance companies and life/annuity products
• Recent experience with accounting for life insurance and annuities
• Experience with general ledger querying tools, such as Essbase, preferred
• Working experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required
• Experience managing or coordinating cross-functional projects (including investments, expenses, and actuarial)
• Self-starter and ability to quickly master complicated tasks and grasp new topics quickly
• Excellent executive presence and an ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and know how to prioritize deadlines
• Willingness to work overtime when required to meet deadlines
• Dedicated team player who is flexible and adaptable to change
• Strong organizational skills and good attention to detail.
