Welder Fitter, Barge Operator, Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Experienced Welder Fitter Successful candidates must have at least 7 to 10 years' experience with GMAW, proficient in TIG, Arc, FCAW welding processes; welding and fitting steel, carbon steel, mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Must be able to fit/fabricate components into a weldment using blueprints, proficient at blueprint reading and ability to read and interpret weld symbols. Must be able to confidently operate Shear, oxy/acet, hand plasma cutting, band saw, c-punches. Must have job shop experience and hold qualifications which would satisfy the National Certifications & Occupations Act. Must be able to pass a welding test and read a welding procedure sheet. Must be comfortable with heights and contorted positions. Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays as projects demand. Barge Operator Having at least ten years of progressive work experience as a barge operator or in a likely similar role with professional skilled commercial diving experience and with formal industry training. Applicants must be top grade in all aspects of marine construction to include concrete and formwork, diving, pile driving, rigging, steel erection and welding. The candidate is also expected to be in good physical condition as the job includes moving heavy objects and setting up equipment. Duties will include but not limited to performing underwater welding and repair; rigging; boat handling, underwater inspections, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, and maintaining the machines on the surface. Must be a team player with excellent communication skills. Heavy Equipment Mechanic Having at least 8 years of work experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, the successful candidate will manage and maintain at the highest level a wide variety of land and marine construction equipment and their fleet of vehicles. Must possess a valid intermediate or heavy truck license. Must have proven experience servicing and maintaining gas and diesel construction equipment and vehicles, including cranes, boats, and tugs; must have proven ability with pneumatic and hydraulic system diagnostics and repair of wide range of vehicles, marine electrical systems, and fault diagnostics. Must have experience operating oxy, electric, TIG & MIG welding. Must have proven ability to adhere to safety guidelines, have ability to work on unsupervised tasks & a team player.
