Housekeeping Attendant

The Loren at Pink Beach is looking to add another amazing team member to their Housekeeping Department! This role will cover both the Room Attendant, Public Area and Houseman needs, as required by the hotel. This role is to be trained in all positions, to ensure the Housekeeping Department have proper staffing, at all times. The Housekeeping Attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems, and other duties, as may be reasonably required, from time to time, consistent with the role of “Housekeeping Attendant” under supervision of the 'Director of Housekeeping and/or Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.' Key Duties and Responsibilities Organize and facilitate the room making process. Enters and prepares the room for cleaning. Make beds. Dust rooms and furniture. Replenish guestrooms and bath supplies. Clean the bathrooms. Check and secure the rooms. Replenish amenities according to the operational standards. Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. spring cleaning, deep cleaning etc.) as required Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of work area. Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him/her. Responsible for following the standard operating procedures. Responsible for achieving and exceeding the guest satisfaction score. Checks the occupied and departure rooms, giving special attention to guest needs. Manage guest requests, including VIP amenities and communicating them to the relevant team members. Carry out lost and found procedures. Report maintenance issues to Maintenance/Engineering Department. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.

Requirements

Prior experience in cleaning/housekeeping is required. Must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems. Applicants must have a positive attitude, be able to work in a team environment, be detail oriented and have a great record of attendance keeping. Customer service and problem resolution skills are paramount to this role. Physical mobility and stamina required. Ability to follow instruction. Detail-oriented. This role includes shift work, weekends and public holidays keeping role in a hotel or private residence experience an asset.
