AXIS Specialty Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, a NYSE-traded company and global specialty underwriter and provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions with locations in Bermuda, the United States, Europe, Singapore and Canada. The Regulatory Financial Accountant ensures timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting for all AXIS legal entities in Bermuda, oversees the finance team in India, collaborates with global business units and support functions, and improves Bermuda financial reporting processes. Responsibilities include reviewing working papers for Bermuda Monetary Authority filings, preparing internal and external management reports, assisting in audits, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.

Requirements

An internationally recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA or CPA), with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in the (re)insurance industry. BMA BSCR Class 4 and/or Group reporting experience preferred. Knowledge of U.S. GAAP as it applies to the insurance industry is a prerequisite; experience with SEC reporting requirements is preferred. Sound knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance business is required. Commercially astute with excellent analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Exposure to Wdesk and Oracle general ledger systems is preferred.
