Freisenbruch Insurance Services Ltd. (FIS), a local Bermudian company providing insurance, pension and broking services to both the domestic and international marketplace, is seeking a highly motivated and organized Systems & Database Administrator to join their team. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Systems & Database Administrator will play a critical role in maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure while ensuring that the data systems run seamlessly. A strong focus on report writing and advanced Power BI skills will be essential as you transform data into user-friendly visualizations and actionable business intelligence.

Requirements

3+ years proven experience as a Systems & Database Administrator or similar role. • Experience in the insurance industry is preferred. • Sound familiarity with IT infrastructure, system administration and automation tools. • Good knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud services (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). • Good understanding of networking (AVD, firewalls, switches, and routers). • Strong knowledge of database systems and reporting (SQL, Power Query, Power BI, SharePoint, VBA). • Excellence in report writing, with a portfolio of previous dashboards and reports. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present findings. • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practice. • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills. • Good knowledge of data backup, recovery, security and integrity.
